NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania and affiliates offer free support groups for individuals, families, and caregivers affected by health conditions. The confidential groups are led by trained peer facilitators who know what you are going through.
NAMI support groups help participants aim for better coping skills and find strength in shared experiences. Groups meet weekly, every other week, or monthly, depending on location. Some support groups meet in person, while others are virtual and attendance is open to everyone no matter their location.
NAMI offers two primary support group programs:
NAMI Connection Support Group - for adults with mental health conditions.
NAMI Family Support Group - for family members, significant others, and friends of people with mental health conditions.

NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania offers a Family Support Group specifically for those who have a loved one living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The monthly IN-PERSON group is a safe, confidential space for family members and close supporters. The group is not designed for individuals experiencing BPD traits themselves.
The support group focuses on shared experiences, education, and support for navigating the unique challenges that come with loving someone affected by BPD.

Many NAMI Affiliates in Pennsylvania offer virtual support groups. In addition to NAMI’s primary peer and family support groups, affiliates host meetings for specific populations including members of the Black community, the LGBTQIA+ community, parents of adolescents experiencing mental health conditions, or mothers who are experiencing post-partum depression.
