NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania is a 501(c)(3) grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mental health conditions and their families through recovery-focused support, education, and advocacy. Located in Pittsburgh, NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania is the state organization for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization.

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will provide leadership, management, and the vision necessary to ensure that NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and human resources systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength, operating efficiency, and legal compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Partnering with the CEO to develop and implement strategic and annual operational plans, setting and monitoring organizational goals.

  • Operational Management: Overseeing all internal operations, including program execution, risk management, and optimizing processes and workflow.

  • Financial Management: Managing the annual budget, overseeing financial reporting, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring fiscal accountability.

  • Staff and Performance Management: Providing day-to-day leadership, supervising department heads, managing the performance review process, and leading the senior management team.

  • Human Resources: Overseeing HR functions, including policies, procedures, hiring, onboarding, and employee development.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience & Education: Requires a master’s degree in nonprofit management, business, human resources, education, or finance with 6 years’ experience/education.

  • Leadership: Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage staff, with high personal integrity. The incumbent must also have a passion for mental health and knowledge of the mental health system.

  • Strategic and analytical skills: Strong ability to contribute to strategic planning, data analysis, and performance metrics.

  • Financial acumen: Solid understanding of nonprofit financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.

  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders. The position also requires strong public speaking skills.

Job title:  Armstrong County C/FST Interviewer (15 hours per week)

Location: Kittanning Office

Job Summary:
The Interviewer travels to a variety of behavioral provider sites in Armstrong County to personally interview consumers and families about their satisfactions and dissatisfactions of provider services. Phone interviews are also conducted with consumers and family members

Essential Functions
Conducts satisfaction interviews with consumers and families in community locations.  Interviews consumers and families at behavioral providers sites and by phone.  Records consumer responses accurately. Problem-solves in the course of interviewing, as needed.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
High school graduate with one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training as approved by Armstrong/Indiana/MH/MR Program. Demonstrated record of good attendance and reliability required.  Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.  Effective problem solving skills.  Must be organized and have ability to write legibly and accurately.  Must be able to quickly build rapport and have empathy.  Must be a Family Member or Consumer of mental health services. Current PA Driver’s License and use of own automobile required for travel around the County.  Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances required

About Armstrong/Indiana Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team
The mission of the Armstrong/Indiana C/FST is to facilitate improvement in the quality of life of persons who use behavioral health services by listening, recording and collaborating with all stakeholders in the behavioral healthcare system.  Funding is provided by Armstrong/Indiana MH/MR Program.
