Every year, NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania hosts three education conferences that feature innovative keynote speakers, NAMI leaders, and workshops designed for peers, family members, mental health professionals, advocates, educators, and students.

Youth Mental Health Conference

NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania’s Youth Mental Health Conference takes place annually in Pittsburgh. The conference provides information on the newest research, innovative supports, and best practices to assist and advance the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults. The event is geared toward parents and caregivers, mental health professionals, educators, and students.

The conference features keynote presentations, workshop sessions, and an exhibitor hall. Continuing Education and Act 48 Credits are offered.

Black Mental Health Summit

Black Mental Health Summit

For Black Americans, historical trauma, discrimination, community violence, and economic insecurity all impact mental health. The Black Mental Health Summit addresses the unique challenges that members of Pittsburgh’s Black community are facing, how stigma can be a barrier to seeking treatment, and the obstacles aexperienced when getting help.

The summit is held in Pittsburgh every July during Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. This summit features presentations, personal stories, group discussion, and networking opportunities.
