We’ve Come A Long Way

By Deb Wasilchak:

I have been part of the NAMI Walk as a volunteer and fundraiser since it began nine years ago. Now I am proud to serve as Chairperson of the NAMI Walk as well. I have seen the event grow from that very first Walk on a sunny fall day in 2007 (pictured above). Over the years, we’ve raised a tremendous amount of awareness and funds. But still, we must work together to increase the number of people taking part in the largest community mental health walk in Pennsylvania!

That’s why I am asking for your support. Please walk with us on Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Waterfront in Homestead. If you cannot join us, please make a donation or support a walker.  Every cent adds up, and every walker makes a difference.

All funds raised go to NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania, which provides recovery focused support, education and advocacy to people and families in our region.

Join me in taking pride to support this very worthwhile cause! Thank you.
