NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania Programs

Consumer and Family Satisfaction Teams meet with individuals and their families to determine whether the services they are receiving are meeting their needs. The state-required process gives consumers, families, providers, counties, and Medicaid managed-care organizations the opportunity to evaluate the quality of the behavioral health services, and to discuss opportunities for improvement.

Advantages of Consumer and Family Satisfaction Teams:

  • Independence from provider organizations
  • Interviewers conduct face-to-face and phone interviews
  • Consumers provide detailed responses because of the interview format
  • Provider organizations can demonstrate their commitment to quality improvement by using the reports

Members of the Consumer and Family Satisfaction Teams are either family members or present or former recipients of behavioral health services and/or drug and alcohol services.

NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania

NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania is an affiliate under NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania that serves the 10 counties of the Southwest region. NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania holds an annual NAMIWalks event every October, which kicks off Mental Illness Awareness Week.
